  The composer was inspired by the art form “collage” first coined by artist Georges Braque and Pablo Picasso at the beginning of the 20^th century when collage became a distinct part of modern art. The word collage comes from the French word coller “to glue” and is a technique of art production primarily used in the visual arts where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms thus creating a whole new distinct form. The composer has created a musical collage made up of five short light pieces primarily written as entertainment for both the listener as well as the performer.
