Lament was originally composed in the fall of 2007 as the second movement of Charles Booker’s “Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Ensemble”. This shorter version for symphonic band laments the loss of the composer’s two younger brothers. The complete Concerto is available from the composer as an Alto Saxophone solo with piano reduction and the second movement titled “Lament” is also available as a Bb Clarinet solo with piano reduction.
