Times Remembered was written in honor of the years of service two exceptional band directors provided to the Ramsey Junior High School of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Their 52 years of service led their program to be considered one of the finest in the state and touched the lives of thousands of students through music.
The late 18th century German poet, dramatist, philosopher and historian Friedrich Schiller wrote “he who has done his best for his own time has lived for all times.” Audra Cowan and Duane Walker’s commitment to excellence in music and their dedication to developing their students will surely live “for all times.”
