Completed in the summer of 2005, the Concertino for Tuba and Wind Band was composed as a tour de force for Dr. Kevin Sanders, tuba professor at the University of Memphis. Dedicated to Sanders, the piece is in three sections with the first section marked Scherzo grazioso, the second section, Adagio e dolce, and the final section Allegro. The University of Memphis Wind Ensemble under the direction of Dr. Kraig Alan Williams recorded the concertino on May 8, 2010.
