Lament was originally composed in the fall of 2007 as the second movement of Charles Booker’s “Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Wind Ensemble”. This shorter version for Bb clarinet and piano laments the loss of the composer’s two younger brothers. The complete Concerto is available from the composer as an Alto Saxophone solo with piano reduction and the second movement titled “Lament” is also available for wind ensemble.
