Taken from Holst’s Second Suite, the March, Movement I, is made up of three English folk songs,Glorishears (Morris Dance), Swansea Town and Claudy Banks. In this edition, the piece has been edited to allow more accessibility to younger/developing bands. Although the piece remains in the original key, 2^nd Flute, 2^nd Oboe, 2^nd Alto Saxophone, 2^nd Bassoon and 3^rd Cornet have been added. Although the famous euphonium part remains untouched, the low brass have been re-voiced to lower its tessitura, especially in the 1^st trombone part. A timpani, bell, suspended cymbal and xylophone parts have been added as well.
